Marc Hixson began his life science career on the commercial side of the business in sales and marketing, realizing early on that the ever-changing managed care environment would have a greater impact on the way pharmaceutical products and medical services were delivered. Gaining knowledge and insight through experience, he has directed his efforts to the successful creation and execution of multiple market access strategies and teams for various clients.

At Coeus, Marc has brought together his own team of experienced managed care professionals ready to assist clients at any level of engagement.

Nadeem Ahmad

Chief Financial Officer

Nadeem Ahmad is the Chief Financial Officer at COEUS Holdings. Nadeem is responsible for the FP&A, controllers, and corporate development. Nadeem has a broad financial background, successfully driving growth and strategies with several high-growth companies in the pharma services industry over the past decade. Before this, Nadeem spent the bulk of his career at IMS Health (Now IQVIA) in various finance, strategy, and corporate development roles. Nadeem earned a B.Sc in Engineering Science as well as chartered accounting and tax qualifications in the UK.

Lee Termini

EVP, Corporate Strategy

Lee Termini, Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and board member at Coeus, is an accomplished executive with extensive experience building service companies within the life science space. Prior to working at MediMedia/ICON, Lee was Executive Director, Account Management, at Pasteur Mérieux Connaught (which then became Aventis Pasteur, now Sanofi-Aventis). As Executive Director, Lee directed the efforts for one of three business units and was responsible for sales, marketing, and contracting for the managed care marketplace for the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer. He started his pharmaceutical career at Stuart Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca).

Dan also serves on the Board of Directors of the eHealth Initiative as a leader driving healthcare transformation, convening leaders from across the healthcare industry. Dan’s global expertise in digital health transformation and overall healthcare information technology brings invaluable insights to the COEUS family of companies. Dan has been recently been recognized by Consulting Magazine as one of the Top 25 Consultants in 2018 and was previously honored with the Fox IT award for Distinguished Alumni recognized for his IT career and contributions to the community and the healthcare industry.

Neil Minkoff, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Neil Minkoff is the Chief Medical Officer with Coeus. Prior to joining Coeus, Neil served as the Senior Medical Director for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, repeatedly rated the #1 health plan in America by NCQA and US News and World Report. Neil has also served as the Associate Medical Director of Partners Community Healthcare, a large integrated provider network. He has been Co-Chair of Medical Management and P&T for the CareGroup Network. In 2012, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick appointed Neil as a Commissioner of the Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission, which provides oversight of health insurance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is the author and editor of multiple publications and has served on numerous advisory panels and boards. Neil also served as Co-Chair of AHIP’s Specialty Pharmaceuticals Workgroup.

Chuck Peipher

Managing Director

Chuck Peipher, Managing Director, specializes in helping biopharmaceutical companies develop innovative pricing and market access strategies. He provides brand management counsel and contributes to a wide array of strategic growth initiatives. Chuck helps our clients achieve success in early launch planning and commercial preparedness, clinical pipeline development, and global business consulting. Chuck has more than 25 years of corporate and consulting experience, including helping to build three life-science based businesses. Chuck’s foundation of experience was gained through his time with AstraZeneca with a variety of specialty care experiences – from the company’s global market-leading mental health drug Seroquel to its first orphan drug (Caprelsa for thyroid cancer). He had senior roles in brand management, healthcare provider marketing, and pricing and market access while also supporting major business development efforts. Chuck’s last position with AstraZeneca was leading the Global Pricing and Market Access team for specialty care support oncology, respiratory, infection, and CNS therapeutic areas.

Jim Clement

Partner, Strategy & Outcomes

A former Aetna executive, Jim Clement is a key expert on the Coeus senior leadership team. Most recently, Jim served as Executive Director, Value-Based Care and Supply Chain Strategy at Aetna Healthcare, where he focused largely on proving the value of pharmaceutical therapies. Jim was responsible for transforming the financing of the pharmacy benefit and leading Aetna’s enterprise relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers. Jim was responsible for maintaining administrative oversight for pharmacy benefit strategy, actuarial services, client pricing, network administration, analytics, and vendor management (inclusive of Aetna Pharmacy’s outsourced services to CVS), in addition to innovative contracting models to help drive value-based care. Jim also served as a board member for sPCMA, collaborated with the Bipartisan Policy Center on innovative and value-based market access approaches for gene therapies, and served as an advisor to the Network for Excellence in Health Innovation (NEHI) on the publication of “Value-Based Contracting for Oncology Drugs.”

Joshua Greenblatt is the Senior Vice President of Access Marketing with Coeus. He creates strategies to address reimbursement issues, ensure affordability, and maximize brand performance across all managed market segments. With more than 25 years in the healthcare industry, Josh has diverse experience in managed markets, including market research, strategy design, pharmaceutical marketing, above-brand marketing, disease management, training, public sector health programs, provider network development and management, and clinical trial management. Before he joined Coeus, Josh managed the west coast office for MediMedia Managed Markets (now ICON) for 11 years. Prior to that, Josh held leadership roles at Health Strategies Group (now Eversana), Universal Care, PacificCare (UnitedHealthcare) and University of California School of Medicine.

Doug Brown

SVP, Value & Access

Doug Brown is Senior Vice President of Value and Access at COEUS. He has 30 years of pharmacy management experience, the last 18 years working with Magellan Rx where his focus was on government markets, working to address strategies that help improve operational efficiency and stakeholder value in Medicaid. Before becoming Chief Strategy Officer, he served as Vice President of both Account Management and Value Based Solutions. Doug provided subject matter expertise on federal and state government legislation that impacted state Medicaid programs and offered policymakers a national view of evolving events in Medicaid. He frequently met with CMS, NGA, and MACPAC as well as legislative officials to help shape Medicaid policy to benefit state Medicaid programs and the beneficiaries they serve. To that end, Doug developed the foundation for an Outcomes-Based Contracting program in Medicaid with the intent of pivoting the drug pricing discussion away from unit cost and toward reducing the total cost of care.

Matthew Coll, Vice President of Market Insights at COEUS, has 15+ years of experience leading healthcare policy research and nearly a decade of experience specializing in market access research. He has led and advised on a wide range of market research engagements focused on pricing, market access, and contracting strategy. Matthew has led engagements in both US and EU markets and across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including rare/orphan diseases; oncology; neurology; and high prevalence/competitive categories such as diabetes, asthma/COPD, and immunology. Prior to joining COEUS, Matthew worked at Trinity Life Sciences and Health Strategies Group (now Eversana), where he designed and executed market research engagements to help biotech and pharma clients optimize their market access strategies.

Kim is a registered pharmacist with 20 years of managed markets experience that encompasses health plans (Cigna), PBMs (Prime), and pharma (Merck, AstraZeneca, Novo Nordisk). With more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience, Owen has led marketing departments in a variety of industries and professional settings ranging from start-ups and rapid growth companies to larger private equity-backed companies. He brings a strong track record in developing and implementing innovative brand positioning strategies that drive revenue growth, advance market share, and enhance customer retention.

Matt Paul

SVP, Value & Access

Matt Paul is Sr Vice President of Value & Access at COEUS. Serving in the specialty insurance space for nearly two decades, Matt has strong product knowledge in terms of networks, administrators, carriers, and different levels of reinsurance that affect various self-funded plans nationally. Over the past few years, the focus has been on the emergence of high-cost Rx and therapies that have consistently breached employers’ stop loss deductibles and carriers’ excess of loss layer. Most recently, Matt served as SVP of Sales (Accident & Health) at Skyward Specialty Insurance, a company that focuses on underwriting employer medical excess policies (stop loss) for groups that self-fund their health insurance. In this role, he worked closely with senior leadership to identify specific risk segments that focused on cost containment for the underlying insured. Matt also engaged with regional and national producers, educating them about products, services, and vendors that could positively lower their catastrophic claim exposure.

Iris Tam has over 25 years of experience in healthcare, including hospital pharmacy, managed care, and the biopharmaceutical industry, and is currently Senior Director & Head of Medical Affairs and HEOR at Coeus. In previous roles at Achaogen, Otonomy, and Genentech, Iris led Medical Affairs strategies and tactics that support market access, product value, and patient quality of care, including accountabilities for medical communications, HEOR, AMCP dossiers, compendia submissions, guideline bodies engagement, and scientific payer communications. Since 2008, Iris has been active on the AMCP Format Executive Committee, which oversees the AMCP Format for Formulary Submissions, including serving as the Committee’s Chair.
